Edita Food Industries (EFID), Chairman and Managing Director Hani Berzi, said that the company is looking forward to growing sales volume, supporting profit margins, increasing production capacity and developing market share by launching new products through adding production lines. "The new products will be priced in different categories in order to meet the needs of all segments of society, including consumers outside cities and major governorates," Berzi said in a statement. Edita recently told Al-Mal newspaper that it started the production process at the company's new plant "E08" in 6th of October through the operation of a "Weaver" production line, revealing its intention to add a new "cake" production line in the factory, adding that production will begin as of next month . Edita Food Industries' net profit during the first half of this year dropped to EGP 54.8 millions, compared to EGP 87 millions in the corresponding period of last year, while revenues rose to EGP 1.3 billions, compared to EGP 1 billions during the same period.
