The government-run Bank Misr is poised to allure the super-rich, high-earners and very important persons ( VIP) through launching a new account that will be tailored to meet their business and entertainment needs. " The account, due to be launched soon, seeks to create a portfolio that will be comprised of 10,000 clients in the first year following its issuance through embarking on special services, notably new technological system, independent staff, outlets for the account holders at numerous branches, granting free-of-charge nights at five-stars hotels, facilitating travel via special halls at airports and booking tickets, etc..," Al-Mal newspaper quoted deputy head of Bank Misr Aekt El-Maghribi. More than 12 local banks, spearheaded by the Commercial International Bank, HSBC, the National Bank of Egypt, Alexandria Bank, Credit Agricole, and Emirates NBD, are vying to grab the super-rich money through creating accounts serving their business and entertainment needs. Due to be added to Bank Misr's ' VIP day by day,' the new account will set EGP2 million as a minimum for subscription up from just EGP1 million and will admit only individuals who occupy leading positions in their respective organizations.
